A New Chapter in Europe
HRV Pharma has spent the last decade showing that a pharma company can grow without owning plants. Its latest move applies the same thinking to a new market.
HRV Pharma's Acquisition of Phatebo
Moneycontrol reports that HRV has acquired Germany's Phatebo and, with it, entered the European finished formulations market. Phatebo is a licensed pharmaceutical company that supplies medicines for clinical trials, and it reported about ₹350 crore in revenue in 2025.
Entering Europe Through an Established Business
Rather than building a European business from the ground up, HRV gets one that is already running: a wholesale authorisation, good distribution practice systems, and customers who rely on it today.
Expanding Across the Pharmaceutical Value Chain
Put together, the two businesses cover more ground than either did alone. HRV's API portfolio sits on one side, Phatebo's finished medicines on the other.
