The consignment of USFDA-qualified Metformin (1000mg) was received by the province of Mendoza for distribution in the public health system. This breakthrough was made possible through the visionary leadership of Mendoza's Governor Alfredo Cornejo and India's Ambassador to Argentina, Dinesh Bhatia, alongside structural policy changes supported by key government officials.
As a first-time initiative in Argentina's history, the Province of Mendoza invested $150,000 in this program, achieving estimated savings of 45-50% compared to regular prices. This underscores India's growing role in the global pharmaceutical supply chain and its ability to address healthcare challenges worldwide through high-quality, affordable medications.
